7th February, 2006 - 16th April, 2008

Everything's Eventual has reached the end of the line!

Thanks to everyone for reading and commenting. It's been a great 2 years, but for some reason, my heart just isn't in it anymore. I'm not saying I won't return, but for now it's goodbye!

Singstar & Earthquakes

Last night, me and a mate called round to visit our friend for a random night of drinking and singing. She had bought a few Singstar games for the PS2 over the Christmas and wanted to have a laugh. Now I know I'm not the best singer (which the game went on to prove) but we all had a great night. Guess not been able to sing made all the more fun. I did get better though as the night went on.

Our night was interrupted at about 1am thanks to an earthquake. Living in England, an earthquake is not something you expect on a regular basis. It was kind of exciting and shook the house quite a bit. Apparently from reading the news today, it was 5.2 on the Richter Scale and was felt in most of England. Apparently here in Manchester they are quite frequent, although not as strong. I just hope it wasn't my singing which caused it!!

Girls Aloud - Can't Speak French

My favourite track of their album 'Tangled Up'. I'm especially liking how it's been slightly remixed for the single release. A bit gutted I couldn't get to see them in May :(

Night Shift - Meh!

It's that time on the rota again for me to do my stint of night shifts. This time I'm doing two weeks worth in one go - which means doing a stretch of six! Think I'm gonna be dead by the time I'm finished. Sounds depressing when you think that I'm on night shift now until Thursday morning :(

Lost: Season 4

Season 4 of 'Lost' starts tomorrow in the US and in the UK on Sunday. Can't wait to get back into it. Thought I'd do a little Lost trivia in the run up to the start of the season.

- Parts of the plane were used as percussion instruments and can be heard in the soundtrack.

- The Airline in this show that flew the ill-fated flight is called "Oceanic" this Airline name has been used before in Executive Decision (1996), and has also been used in many other made-for-TV movies.

- 'Yoon-jin Kim' (Sun) originally read for the character of Kate. The producers felt she was not what they were looking for but decided to create a new character for her along with her character's spouse.

- 'Jorge Garcia' (Hurley) was the first person cast for the series.

- Originally, Michael Emerson was only cast for a few episodes in season two. The producers were so impressed with his performance that they cast him as a regular and rewrote the part of Henry Gale/Ben to feature him more prominently.

- Charlie was in a band called Drive Shaft. Their only hit was called "You All Everybody". That song can be heard in the background of an episode of Alias, another show created by JJ Abrams.

- Jorge Garcia, Matthew Fox, and Dominic Monaghan all auditioned originally for the part of Sawyer as the other characters had not been developed at the time.

- Each episode -- other than the pilot -- covers 48 hours on the island.

- Originally, Libby was not set to die, but Ana Lucia Cortez was not a popular enough character to garner sympathy from fans, so Libby was killed as well for emotional impact.

- Michael Keaton was considered for the part of Jack, but turned it down. Had he accepted, he would have been killed off in the pilot episode.

Bring on season 4!!

I've Arrived!

Just a quick post to say I arrived in Newcastle yesterday afternoon. Not half as bad as I thought it would be. The flooding subsided so the train was able to make it through in one journey. The weather is wild though! It's SO windy up here. I'm glad I didn't drive! The A1/M1 was blocked off due to lorries overturning - oops!

Anyway, off out for the afternoon with the family. We're gonna try and find a pub to have something to eat at - I'm starving!!
