Quick Update

Well, I knew I said I wasn't going to post until I had been to Newcastle, but seeing as we've had quite bad weather here in northern England, it's looking like it could be an adventure getting there. I get the train when I go back to Newcastle - simply because it's cheaper than driving and the journey ain't too bad. The problem at the moment is the trains are only running as far as Huddersfield. There's a bus replacement between Huddersfield and Leeds but you can never trust them. The ticket I have can be cancelled up until 6pm on the day before travel, so Ill give it till then and ring on Thursday afternoon for an update. If I have to cancel, I suppose I can always drive - that's if the motorways are OK - hehe.

In other news, I got the result for my latest module at university - 68%. I surprised myself. I wasn't expecting to get that high! One module and a dissertation to go and I'm done - woo!

Me and a mate went to see 'Sweeney Todd' at the weekend. I loved it - thought it was fantastic! Hoping to go and see it again next week when it's out officially. It was more of a musical than I thought. Johnny Depp was pretty cool. I loved Helena Bonham Carter's character! Wouldn't mind seeing the stage show now!

It's ace isn't it! I'd say it was more of an opera than a musical. They're talking in song rather than singing about what's going on.

I want to see it again - and the stage version is awesome. Into the woods, another of Sondheim's musicals is also great - the first half is a bunch of fairy tales and the second if the consequences of their actions. It has a fox in it that sings "hello little girl" in an unbelieveably uncomfortable way.

The weather isn't that bad up here today Malc. It threw it down all day Monday and rained a bit yesterday, but it's not rained today... although it is very dark, dull and overcast. You could always swim up!
